COLOR EXPLORATION WORKSHOP
Title: Color Explorations
Saturday, January 30th with a follow-up class in on Sunday, January 31st
All materials included for class, students need only bring their brushes.
Class: Students will work on color applications and juxtaposition of colors.
We will review color placements and how color influences a painting.
Attendees will work in water media:
Watercolor, Gouache, and Acrylics. We will also work with painting mediums to see how our colors are affected by the ground/ type of surface being used. We will also be working with watercolor pencils.
The surface will include watercolor paper, bristol board, Yupo, and other toned papers.
Be inspired by examples of artwork from such artists as Maxeen Masterfield, Richard Schmidt, Anne Abgot to name a few for inspiration!!
The primary focus during this workshop will be to help any artist painting in whatever medium they enjoy, make stronger and more effective paintings.
